For over 100 years, the Bodja family has cultivated coffee
in the forests of western Wollega, specifically in Aira Woreda of the Gimbi Zone, Ethiopia.

What began as a family tradition, passed from one generation to the next, has grown into Asikana Coffee—

a company built on heritage, sustainability, and a commitment to exceptional Ethiopian coffee.

Founded by Bodja Gelalecha (pictured), Asikana was created with a vision that extends beyond coffee production.
Drawing on generations of farming knowledge and years of development experience, he recognized that lasting success begins at the source.

Today, Asikana works alongside farming communities to improve livelihoods, strengthen agricultural practices, and deliver traceable, high-quality coffee to partners around the world.

Asikana means "We start from here."
